V.35 Interface
Tester
Breakout Box
This "Breakout Box" tester,
sometimes called a "BOB", brings
all monitored interface signals to a 25 pin EIA Monitor Connector,
allowing you to connect external test equipment such as a protocol
analyzer. We also give you four simulation switches to force RTS, CTS, DSR
and DTR to the "On" state without using cumbersome patch cords. Don't
worry, we provide plenty of extra patch cords for patching or cross
connecting other interface circuits.
As a "Breakout Tester", the 9435 monitors the condition of the four
balanced (SD, RD, SCT, SCR) and four unbalanced interface circuits (RTS,
CTS, DSR, RLSD) specified by V.35. Dedicated Quad-State monitors are also
provided for one balanced circuit (SCTE) and three unbalanced circuits (DTR,
RI, LT) which are not specified by V.35, but may be used in certain
applications. Two spare Quad-State monitors are also provided for
monitoring balanced or unbalanced signals which do not have dedicated
monitor circuits.
