The ZOOM is an economical fiber optic power meter.  It provides accurate testing of single and multi-mode fiber cables.  The large LED display shows optical absolute power in dBm or relative to a user set zero reference in dB.  A single switch selects between 850, 1300, and 1550nm wavelengths (the Silicon ZOOM is 850nm only) and the zero button allows the user to switch between dBm and dB or set the zero reference power.

The meter is offered with either Silicon or Germanium detectors in 2.5mm universal receptacles, with a standard power range of +3 to -52 dBm.

Set Reference: The ZOOM stores reference values for three commonly used industry standard wavelengths (850, 1300/1310, and 1550).  The Silicon ZOOM stores a reference for 850nm.  Each of these  wavelengths are N.I.S.T. Traceable.

(Click here for more info) Other standard features include a 3 digit, 0.1dB resolution display and your choice of 2.5mm Universal detector ports that are compatible with FC, ST, SC, DIN, and any other 2.5 mm ferrule connectors!  The 2mm detector version has a removable adapter port for use with 1.25mm connectors (such as LC, and many SFF connectors).

The ZOOM also comes with low battery warning and a free rugged rubber boot.
